Vaihe 1
Poista mustesäiliö tulostimesta ja pyyhi mahdolliset näkyvät mustejäämät pakkauksessa mahdollisesti mukana olevalla alkoholi-kosteuspyyhkeellä.
Vaihe 2
Turn the cartridge over and use the small drill provided in the refill kit to make a hole in the top of the cartridge next to the sticker. Fill the syringe with the amount of ink recommended in the chart found with your refill kit and insert the needle into the hole. Slowly depress the plunger, dispersing ink into the reservoir until no more ink will fit.
Vaihe 3
Remove the needle and flush the syringe with water. Allow it to air dry overnight. Insert the ink cartridge back into the cartridge cradle and snap the cartridge cover closed. Shut the access panel on the printer and allow it to equilibrate and recognize the cartridge. After the cartridge has had a chance to sit for a few hours (to fully saturate the reservoir fibers), run "Clean and Align," which is found under Print Properties.
Yleisiä ohjeita täyttömusteen käytöstä

Mustesäiliöt kannattaa täyttää kun mustetta on vielä jäljellä (esimerkiksi neljännes jäljellä) jotta suuttimet eivät tukkeutuisi kuivuneesta musteesta.

Mustetta ei saa pakottaa säiliöön liian nopeasti, koska musteeseen voi muodostua kuplia ja ilmaa voi kulkeutua mustesäiliöön ja se voi vaikuttaa tulostuslaatuun.
